The man he becomes starts with you.
Who are you showing him to be?
Every young man is learning how to be in the world from the people around him. Not from one big conversation, but from many small moments: what gets laughed at, ignored, challenged and celebrated. And right now, too many of those lessons are being shaped by harmful online content and narrow ideas about what it means to be a man.
Ask A Mate is a national movement working to shift that. Through Ask A Mate Day, the Great Mate Awards, the Ask A Mate App, along with practical resources for adult men, it helps make healthier masculinity more visible in the places young men are already paying attention.
Ask a Mate is an initiative of Australian charity Beyond DV.
Guided by a committee of trusted experts and advocates, the campaign is further strengthened by high-profile supporters across sport, culture, community leadership and media. With thanks to our supporters The Jim Stynes Foundation, Brisbane Lions and Moonward Apps.

The pressure is real, the confusion is growing, and what adult men model still shapes what comes next.
